Peptexa ("we," "us," "our") operates peptexa.com. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Email address and first name. When you take the quiz, download the free guide, sign up for the newsletter, or purchase a guide, we collect your email address and optionally your first name. This is stored in our email service provider (Kit, formerly ConvertKit) and used to deliver your purchase, send your quiz results, and communicate with you about Peptexa content.
Purchase information. When you buy a guide, Gumroad (our payment processor) collects your payment information directly. We receive your name, email address, and what you purchased. We do not see or store your credit card number.
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on site, referral source, device type, and general location (country/region level). We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics.
Cookies. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. Gumroad and Kit may also set cookies during checkout and email interactions. We do not use cookies for advertising or sell cookie data.
How we use your information
- Deliver products you purchase (guides, free resources)
- Send quiz results and matched guide recommendations
- Send email content you opted into (newsletter, sequences)
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
- Notify you of new guides or content (only if you subscribed)
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not use your data for advertising or retargeting.
- We do not collect health information. Peptexa is educational only.

We use the following services that process data on our behalf:

Your rights
Unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from all future emails.
Data deletion. You can request deletion of your data by emailing hello@peptexa.com. We will remove your information from Kit and confirm within 30 days.
Access. You can request a copy of the data we hold about you by emailing the same address.
California residents (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EU/UK residents (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. Our lawful basis for processing is consent (you provided your email) and legitimate interest (site analytics).
Data retention
We retain your email and purchase information for as long as your Kit subscriber account is active. If you unsubscribe, your data is retained in an unsubscribed state (per Kit's default behavior) unless you request full deletion. Analytics data is retained per Google's default retention settings (14 months).
Children
Peptexa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We will not materially reduce your rights without notice.
